Use the Moon, 1991

Description
Considered one of the most influential contemporary artists, Raymond Pettibon is known for comic book style drawings that distinctly combine various aspects of contemporary American culture, from sports to politics to literature. His prints and works on paper often combine drawn image and text, either written by the artist or borrowed from literature. In this print, the text "Use the Moon" floats above a couple embracing, their faces obscured by a dramatic shadow.
