La Grande Parade, 1955

Description
Fernand Léger started his Big Parade painting series in 1953. He had become a Communist in the mid-1940s and, like many painters, was imbued with the spirit of the time, producing many monumental figural compositions of acrobats, builders and circus scenes. Léger died in 1955, before this lithograph could be signed, so it is signed by his wife and authenticated by the Musee Leger. This print is not framed.
