This embroidered handkerchief is based on a larger original, which Bourgeois created in 1996. The formal serif typeface and the horizontal lines that run across this work make it reminiscent of a students' composition. This work was published on the occasion of Bourgeois' 2007–2008 exhibition at the Tate Modern, London. This impression comes from the second edition of this multiple, printed in pink with matching embroidery. There was a first edition in blue. Please note, there are horizontal and vertical folds in the handkerchief, as it was previously folded (as issued). Please see photos.
